Name: Tenten

Version: During the time-skip. She's passed the Chuunin exam, but Naruto hasn't returned to the village yet.

Appearance: Tenten is of average height and weight for her gender and age. She's well-muscled from her years of training as a ninja, and has something of a boyish body. Her hair is long, so she keeps it up in two buns to keep it out of the way. She has bangs, but they're short so that they won't interfere with her vision. Both her hair and eyes are brown. Her usual attire is a white mandarin shirt with red trim and a pair of red pants that end slightly above her ankles, along with a pair of sandals. Usually, she would also be carrying various ninja tools, as well as her weapon scrolls, though she certainly wouldn't have those in Eidolon.

Personality: Because she trains often and is highly skilled, Tenten is very confident in herself. This confidence spills over into other aspects of her life as well, and she rarely doubts herself in any situation. However, she continues to train hard, and always reminds herself that no matter how good she is, she could always be better.

She can also be quite stubborn, and will not let anyone argue with her when she's sure that she's right. That can come in quite handy when she's trying to convince Lee that, no, trying to do two hundred laps around the village on a sprained ankle is not a good idea. She's also learned to be patient with people, as it would be practically impossible to deal with her team if she didn't have patience. When that patience is stretched to the limit, however. . . well, it's not a pretty sight. Luckily, it takes a lot to push her that far, so usually she's pretty nice.

Tenten is also the maternal type, and tends to act in a motherly way to the people she cares about, which leads her to be somewhat over-protective and prone to worrying. This sometimes results in her having to shakes someone and ask them repeatedly why they would do such stupid things. She'll likely have grey hair by twenty if she keeps worrying the way she does.

Strengths/Abilities: Due to her ninja training, she's strong and flexible, and has great aim when it comes to projectiles. She's something of a weapons master, and can hold her own in a hand to hand fight. Tenten also makes friends easily because of her kind and confident personality.

Weaknesses: While her weapons and taijutsu skills are good, Tenten is very poor with genjutsu. Her stubborness also causes her to conflict with others on occassion, and can lead her into dangerous situations if she picks the wrong path or strategy. She also worries almost constantly, even if she tries to hide it, and can be overly protective of others.

History: Tenten was born in the village of Konoha. Her father was a shop-keeper, and her mother was a homemaker, but Tenten had bigger dreams. Ever since she was very young, Tenten had wanted to be a ninja. Her parents didn't entirely approve of such a dangerous way of life, but they wanted their daughter to be happy. So, when she was eight years old, Tenten enrolled in the Ninja Academy. It took four hard years of training, but she finally graduated and became a genin.

Tenten's genin team consisted of herself, Hyuuga Neji, Rock Lee, and their sensei, Maito Gai. It quickly became apparent that Tenten and Neji could not train on the same level as Lee and Gai, and as such, they often trained together. Tenten quickly began to specialize in long-distance weapon attacks, while her other teamamates were more close range taijutsu types. Despite the differences in abilities and training styles, they were a close team and cared about each other a lot.

Over time, Tenten became something of a neutralizing effect on the team, keeping both Lee and Neji from pushing themselves too hard. In between Lee's rather spastic and loud personality, and Neji's introverted and stoic one, she was a nice balance of friendly and calm.

After a year as a genin team, they were entered into the Chuunin Exam. They breezed through the first part of the exam, though the second part was harder. Lee got involved in another team's fight, and Tenten had to shake him out of his stupor when she and Neji actually found him. After that, they quickly found the scroll that they needed and completed that part of the exam.

In the third exam preliminaries, Tenten was matched against Temari, a kunoichi from Suna. All of Tenten's weapon attacks failed against Temari's wind attacks, and Tenten was eliminated from the exam. During the month between the preliminaries and the third exam, Tenten helped Neji train for his match against Naruto. When Neji was eventually defeated in the match, Tenten was stunned. How could her teammate lose? That year, the team remained genins.

As time passed, Tenten and the rest of her team increased their skill. She added more weapons to her arsenal, and increased her speed and her taijutsu skills. Eventually, Tenten and her teammates all passed the Chuunin Exam. They still work together as a team, though the missions they take are now mostly B and C-rank, rather than D-rank.
